About Us
We steward land that is a part of the Mid-Willamette River system, just north of what is called Albany, both for farm crops and for wildlife habitat, and native plant regeneration, innovation. It's not easy running a mixed generation farm business, but the 3rd and 4th generations are finding their own ways of working together as well as being woven into our neighborhood and the communities around us.
Practices
Our farm walks a few different paths... we grow both on smaller and larger scales with a diverse mix of seed crops. Sometimes up to 80 acres or as small as 1/10th of an acre. We used integrated pest management, an "unconventional conventional farm," with some crops using no herbicides and others utilizing the most efficient no-till practices. We value the big picture, pragmatic decision making that seeks to be in balance, being civically engaged in the future of our state, and we believe that the land is about more than humans, deeply seasonal, and to be stewarded for many generations and cycles to come.
